Sealed or Electronic bids will be received by the Board of Supervisors of Harrison County at the First Judicial Courthouse at 1801 23rd Avenue, Gulfport, Mississippi, BOS Conference Room, until 11:00 A.M. March 20, 2025 and shortly thereafter publicly opened, for the 0.08 miles of BRIDGE & APPROACHES on F.TAYLOR ROAD in Harrison County, Mississippi, known as Local System Bridge Project No. LSBP-24(19).
CONTRACT TIME - 55 WORKING DAYS
BASIS OF AWARD: The award if made, will be made to the lowest qualified bidder of published quantities.
Bid packages, plans and specifications are on file in the office of the Chancery Clerk of Harrison County, Post Office Drawer CC, Gulfport, MS 39502. Bid packages, plans and specifications are on file with the County State Aid Engineer, Rackley Engineering LLC.12450 Shortcut Road, Biloxi, MS 39532, and in the office of the State Aid Engineer, 412 Woodrow Wilson Avenue, Jackson, Mississippi. Bid documents can be viewed or downloaded through Plan House at www.harrisoncountybids.com.
“Electronic Bids” may be submitted on-line at www.harrisoncountybids.com prior to the opening date and time as stated above. For any questions relating to the electronic submittal or bidding process, please call PH Bidding Group at 662-407-0193.
The name of the bidder, the number of the Bidder’s Certificate of Responsibility, which Certificate is issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors shall be plainly written or marked on the outside of the sealed envelope containing each bid, and in addition thereto, the said envelope shall be plainly marked “Bid on Project No. LSBP-24(19) to be opened March 20, 2025.”
Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check, or by a Bid Bond signed or counter-signed by an Agency authorized to write such Bonds in the State of Mississippi; the said Certified Check or Bid Bond shall be in the amount of not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the Contractor's bid, and shall be made payable to the HARRISON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS and the STATE OF MISSISSIPPI.
Bidders are hereby notified that any bid accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the bid is tendered will be considered an irregular bid and such bid will not be considered in making the award.
All bids must be on file with the Clerk of this Board on or prior to the hour and date first mentioned above. Bids sent through the mail should be addressed to the Board of Supervisors, care of the Chancery Clerk's Office, Post Office Drawer CC, Gulfport, Mississippi 39502. Bids delivered in person must be delivered to the Clerk's Office in the First Judicial District Courthouse, Gulfport, Mississippi.
The Board of Supervisors hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award.
The Board of Supervisors will meet at the time and in place first stated in this Notice and will then and there open, read aloud, consider and take action as the Board may determine on bids received in accordance with this Notice. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities
